Three of the most important communication skills to me are verbal, non-verbal, and technological.

I believe verbal is very important because in your professional life as well as your personal life. Verbal communication can help you professionally in many different ways.  It can help getting a job in an interview, networking, verbally communicating with bosses and coworkers, as well as customers and potential customers depending on your job. Verbal communication is also very important at home. It can lead to a better life. If you can talk to your spouse or significant other, the relationship will be stronger.

Non-verbal communication is another important communication skill but in a different way. Professionally, it could help your work environment with coworkers. If your non-verbal communication is good amongst each other, things will move more fluidly. Personal life can also be good as well. If you have a good relationship between friends and family, or you and your spouse, non-verbal communication tends to be the reason. Being able to know what others are thinking, if they are sick, is extremely beneficial in any type of relationship.

With the world being so dependent on technology, being able to communicate that way is essential, especially in the work place. Professional jobs now, communicate over the phone, conference calls, or email. It is also a bonus in your personal life if you are away from friends, family, or another loved one. You will be able to continue a relationship with them. It would almost be like you never left.
